LAB OBJECTIVES

The first Lab appointment will focus on some basics for our group and also to attend the FUSE-LAB visit and obligatory first coaching session. Our goal is to discuss the overall group dynamic which includes:

• Basics rules for our group

• Practical administration such as timebooking procedure

• Expectations and overall feelings about the project

• Walk through the peer grading model

• Define our industry

LAB RESPONSIBILITIES

This first lab is only an overall meeting and all members are equally responsible to attend and to be active in the discussion.

LAB ACTUAL PROCEDURE

As this was the first meeting, the majority of the tasks were done in a joint effort. Therefore, there will be no individual efforts written down here. We started discussing what type of industry we were interested in, and where there are multiple experts that can be contacted for interviews. We early on found that we wanted to construct a product that has the potential to collect important data for the scientists, but also be a valuable resource for the customers/users of the products. The duality between research usage and customer usage is important to be able to increase the number of people using it. We have discussed how we will utilize the time, how the interviews shall be conducted and how the major baseline of our questionnaire will be constructed. We discussed how we respect each other's time, via going through the template of the individual group review that shall be conducted at the end of the group project, so that all are aware of what is expected.

RESULTS / OBSERVATIONS

Axel: I believe we found some good common ground on how we will conduct group work, how we expect to proceed forward and what to do until next time.

Julia: Today we discussed how the group should work together and I think we have started well and are trying to sort out some confusions.

Anne-Sofie: After today we found that the group mainly is on the same page regarding the task and how we would like to move forward. I am happy with our first meeting and its outcome and feel like we are going to be able to solve any issue that might occur in the future together as a group.

Emil: The first meeting/lab with the group clarified the challenges that are upon us. Further investigating how the group will work on the challenge, and discussing how we will choose to interview relevant people in the PESTEL model. Also, mention the expectation each group member has on the challenge during the course.

Hanna: Our first meeting was completed successfully and I think we have had a lot of interesting and important points mentioned. It feels good that our main goals, rules and expectations have been discussed. We have a plan with how to proceed and what to do until next time.

Noa: The initial meeting went well and everyone in the group had a positive attitude to the project. We concluded that the biggest challenge forward will be to find people to interview in our chosen industry, motorboats.

NEXT STEPS

We will divide who searches for what interviewee and what is to be done until the next time we meet. We need to narrow down what industry experts we are looking for, Until next time all group members should think about who they believe for each letter in the PESTEL should be interviewed, this can be specific persons, companies or brief suggestions. All should also think about possible questions, both common questions for all actors from PESTEL but also if there are any specific questions for some of the actors that can be interesting. This should be written/summarized in the document called: Frågeformulär PESTEL on google drive before the next meeting which will be conducted Thursday 2023-03-30 at 8:30.
