THE COAST IS LACKING

What does this mean?

Did you know that the coastal waters are in a declining state? Loss of ecosystems, rising temperatures and extreme weather is the future we are heading towards.

By collecting temperature data of the coastal waters together with SMHI, we can understand the issues and take countermeasures.

And the best part? It's a great opportunity for you and your children to get involved in a thrilling adventure, exploring the coast and learning more about cutting-edge technology while making a significant contribution to science!

WHAT IS TESS?

TESS is a fun, easy-to-build device that you can construct on your own or with your child. Once built, you can attach it to your motorboat to collect valuable data on the ocean's temperature, which will be useful not only for you, but also to scientists.

Citizen

BE PART OF THE SOLUTION
What is a citizen scientist, and why should you become one?

Not all heroes wear capes, some simply travel along coastal areas with their TESS in hand, ready to measure the temperature and help researchers get the data they truly need.

Regular citizens have been participating in citizen science for centuries. From the astronomers of the 1500’s to the at-home chemists of the 1800’s, citizen science has been a major part of why can we live as we do today. Continue their legacy, become a citizen scientist, and be the hero we need!

TESS RECYCLING

Don't waste your TESS, send it back to us and

let it continue its journey collecting valuable temperature data of the ocean.

With the recycling program we are able to manage many of the ethical aspects such as, reducing plastic waste and creating an circular economy.
